Al graduated cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with concentrations in Intellectual Property and Corporate Law. While in law school, Al served as executive board member and editor for the prestigious Arts and Entertainment Law Journal, where he authored the Note, Graffiti Artists “Get Up” in Intellectual Property’s Negative Space, 31 Cardozo Arts &Ent. L.J. 959 (2013).

Before attending law school, Al worked for eight years as a lighting designer and technical director for theater, dance, and special events where he collaborated extensively with producers, directors, writers, and musicians. Credits include The Builder’s Association, The Wooster Group, Shakespeare in the Park, New York City Center, New School for Drama, Cherry Lane, and 59e59 Theaters, among others.

While at WSMB, Al has worked on a wide variety of matters, including complex commercial litigation, mergers, licensing agreements and trademark and copyright matters.
