Dispute Resolution

WSMB handles a wide range of commercial disputes, including employment and IP-related matters. Our litigators handle all phases of a case, from investigation, commencement, discovery, preliminary and dispositive motions, to trial and appeals. We handle both jury and bench trials in state and federal courts.

Our attorneys also represent clients before various domestic and international arbitral tribunals. WSMB attorneys have appeared before the AAA, FINRA, ICSID, JAMS, the CPR Institute, the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

In addition to representing clients in the ADR process, Usher Winslett has more than 20-year’s experience as a mediator and arbitrator. He serves on the Arbitration and Mediation Panels of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and on the Southern District of New York’s Mediation Panel. He is a member of the Eastern District’s special natural disaster panel, initially formed to help resolve the glut of cases resulting from Storm Sandy. Since December 2016, he has served on the Eastern District’s ADR Advisory Council, which is responsible for overseeing the court’s ADR program, including recruiting and training arbitrators and mediators.
